Michigan will soon become a right to work state after Governor Snyder signed bills into law. Michigan Now’s Chris McCarus was at the Capitol in Lansing Tuesday. He reports on the protests at the state Capitol.

House Speaker Jase bolger says the "right to work" bills means "new jobs and better careers for Michigan workers."

But opponents say it will drive down wages in "a race to the bottom."

The vote on "right to work" legislation follows the rejection of Proposal 2 in November. It would have enshrined collective bargaining into the state Constitution.
