Despite a report that fewer trees died as a result of the Emerald Ash Borer in 2011, the threat to Ash trees continues to spread through the Great Lakes. Great Lakes Echo reports that Michigan has the worst infestation of the ash borer where it’s been found in every county. One expert says this year’s drought may increase the ash borer’s numbers next year.
